As a golf lover, I’m delighted to let you know about the latest addition to Connections Luxury – the stunning resort of Finca Cortesin. I’m so excited about this one, as the resort combines luxury accommodation with stunning scenery, and an incredible 6,802m gold course to boot!
Set in the heart of Spain’s Costa del Sol, halfway between Sotogrande and Marbella, this gorgeous resort is located in one of the most picturesque and peaceful areas of Spain, and provides a luxury sanctuary, which looks out on the stunning Mediterranean Sea.
Spread across 215 hectares, the resort encompasses 150 hectares of stunning unspoilt greenbelt, and offers a diverse range of areas, specific to its guests needs. The Hotel, Golf Area, Spa and Sports Club, Beach Club and Residential Area make up the 5 sections of the resort and each is tailored specifically to its residents to offer them everything they need for their stay.
It is the impressive Gold Area that is of interest to many corporate clients though, and its no surprise that the large course with over a hundred bunkers and 5 tee off points is regarded by Golf Digest as one of Spain’s best golf courses. A tricky par 72 course, which will test the mettle of any keen golfer can be played in the sultry Mediterranean sun, and with the mix of over 20 varieties of flora, and a natural looking landscape design, if you’re game isn’t going so well, you may not even mind!
Of course, if you’re visiting Finca Cortesin with others who don’t share your passion for golf, there’s no way they will be disappointed with the choice of resort. The Beach Club offers relaxation in unparalleled beauty, with cocktails by the beach on hand for those who want to take in the beautiful Spanish sunset. There’s also the gymnasium, spa, and fitness centre, and restaurants offering traditional Spanish cuisine, prepared by executive chef, Lutz Bösing, who has over 30 years of culinary experience. And that experience really shows with the huge variety of cuisines on offer — everything from Mediterranean and Japanese to the likes of Spanish and Italian!
