Leaders TV draws upon the extensive connections of the Travel Weekly Group and the huge reach of it’s publications and events including the newly launched Connections Events to provide a video series featuring senior executives from the industry discussing key trends and challenges.
The Travel Weekly Group has always brought senior leaders together with the wider industry, principally through their wide range of leading publications as well as networking events, industry awards and ceremonies. Although we document as much content as possible from our physical events, our audiences tell us they want to see more – and on a much higher frequency, not necessarily tied to a specific event.

Prior to joining Travel Weekly Group Micaela was head of marketing & communications for World Travel Market (WTM), the flagship travel trade event of Reed Exhibitions with responsibility for marketing, e-marketing, public relations, events and promotions. WTM attendance figures increased by 10% in 2010, 5% in 2011 and 3% in 2012 as a result of the work Micaela and her team undertook. During 14 years at Reed Exhibitions, Micaela led the branding rationalisation across the Travel Group, created the marketing, communications and conferences strategy for the inaugural WTM Latin America event in 2013 as well as being responsible for seven WTM Vision conferences midyear around the world (London, Moscow, Beijing, Sao Paolo, Dubai, Milan and Mumbai). Prior to joining the Travel Weekly Group, Evangeline completed a one year placement as the e-marketing assistant for World Travel Market, the leading global event of the travel industry. During her time, Evangeline developed a wide knowledge in digital marketing, website management and social media.

David Benitez is the co-founder of Content Cocktails and he is a very passionate individual on human interactions in a humane kind of way! He is very dedicated to support the different destinations to better adapt and to reach out to the Global Meetings Industry community in the most effective way. David is also an expert in connecting people to do business in the Travel and Meetings Industry market place.
David has recently joined forces with the Travel Weekly Group to help organise Connections Meetings- the first designed H2H (Human 2 Human) event in history. Connections is breaking the mould of the “usual” b2b workshops and conferences by actually applying designed programme methodology for suppliers and buyers to live out experiences that will create strong bonds for long lasting business relationships.
Prior to Connections Meetings, David launched successfully the award winning educational summits called “IBTM Talks” for Reed Travel Exhibitions, a series of tailor-made events that have provided insight to meeting planners and Suppliers in various regions across the world. Finally, David has experience in launching and project managing “Evento Days”, the Leading Meetings Industry Exhibition in Spain.

Prior to joining the Travel Weekly Group, Greg was the founder and individual responsible for building the Thump Clothing brand. Responsible for and managing a free lance team through marketing campaigns, product design, clothing line collections, launch party organisation, social media, web development, sales, inventory tracking, finance and forecasting & forming close links with retailers and brand ambassadors. Greg previously completed two years at Reed Exhibitions as the Sales Executive for the Leisure Travel Portfolio where he maintained and grew revenue with existing clients and prospect heavily for new business across four of the industry’s leading events. World Travel Market London, WTM Africa, WTM Latin America and Arabian Travel Market.

Prior to joining the Travel Weekly Group, Alejandro completed a six month placement as the production assistant for Galician Radio Television Broadcasting Company (CRTVG). During his time, Alex developed a wide knowledge in marketing, event planning, video editing and more.

Anna Górska is business development director at EXPO XXI Warsaw, and was recently elected as an ICCA Central European Chapter Chairperson for the third term. Anna is an ideas person; always switched on, and looking for way to work outside of the box. Her solid relationships within the international meetings and events community, combined with her passion for helping people to unite to achieve common goals make her a real asset to the Connections team.
Anna Górska is working with Connections to help recruit buyers for the Meetings series and to curate the educational content at each of the events – which will take place in Quito and Florence in 2017. Providing thought leadership and sharing relevant knowledge is a key pillar of Connections Meetings. Anna believes that knowledge is vital for stimulating innovation in the congress realm, and will be collaborating with, among others, Mike van der Vijver, promoter of the Meeting Design and co-author of the book “Into the heart of Meetings”.
For years, Anna has provided educational content for meetings and events students. She has lectured at universities, and is co-author of “The Real MICE Book”, which will be published in Spring 2017 as a manual for students. In the future, she would also like to launch a Polish educational platform for the industry.

Alexandra Locker is the Buyer Marketing Manager for Connections Luxury and Wellness Events, with a background in Client & Business Development, Event Management and Business to Business and Business to Client Sales. Alexandra studied at Warwick University for a BA in History of Art, also studying Italian language to spend a semester living in Venice studying the Venetian Renaissance.
Christie’s Auctioneers’ global headquarters in London provided a thorough training in Client and Business Development in a high-end luxury market, this paired with time in a Sales Executive role at Marcus Evans, Sydney and various roles at successful tech start-up ‘onefinestay’ in London, has led Alexandra to the role of connecting Buyers with Suppliers for Connections. Alexandra has a passionate interest in people, travel and the luxury market.
