At this time every year in Cannes, Connections host a dinner on the Monday night and a lunch on the Tuesday – and this year was no exception!
This is a way for us to touch base with our delegates through our Connections Social Calendar, which will be announced shortly for 2018.
Our social events are a way of saying THANK YOU to our delegates for voting with their feet and supporting our events. Sponsors, buyers and suppliers are all welcome to join our annual get together in Cannes at no charge – on a first come, first served basis.
34 delegates attended dinner at the traditional French Restaurant La Brouette de Grand’ Mere, where we enjoyed a delicious fresh sea bass and a typical beef stew in the true Connections way; where buyers meet suppliers in an informal and relaxed environment over authentic food.
For lunch the following day, we met on the top floor of Le Caveau 30 and a whopping 64 delegates attended! It was a beautiful day; the sun was shining and relationships flowing – along with good wine and more wonderful food.
We were delighted to welcome many of Connections’ founding members including Fernando Amer, from Buenos Aires Convention Bureau; our destination sponsor for Connections Argentina (second edition), to be held next year. It was also great to see Patricia and Valerie from Amadeus – our global sponsors – as well as Mladen Ljubisic from the Slovenia Tourist Board, who will be hosting our inaugural Connections Adventure event next year!
There really is so much happening and so many Connections to be made and it’s through social get- togethers like this that we can really see the value in the relationships our events help to build – and we know we are doing something right!
