About the Event

The Connections Luxury series launched in 2014 at the Four Seasons Hotel Hampshire. Since the launch Connections has been hosted in global destinations such as Asia, Europe and America with the support of notable brands which include Rocco Forte, Kempinski, Conrad and Taj to name a few. Luxury buyers are selected through extensive research and word of mouth recommendation together with existing partners and suppliers. They represent key and emerging luxury travel markets (including the US, China, India etc) and reflect the region in which the event is located (for example, the recent event in Europe welcomed 50% of buyers from Europe and 50% from outside the region). The luxury suppliers invited to participate are only the best companies in luxury travel around the globe; these include airlines, hotels, private jet and yacht charters, cruise lines and destinations.

Dress Code

The Connections way works best when you embrace the experiences on offer. We would like you to be prepared so here are some useful information in advance of the event.
During the day we would advise that all delegates dress in a comfortable/casual attire.
Suits are not required – we all like you to look your best, but with our programme being quite active, suits won’t work that well!
Ties are not required – even with the evening programme, we are in a relaxed environment and want you to feel comfortable.
Think carefully about heels – some of the experiences on offer may require a bit of walking. Heels can be a problem if you want to join some of the activities on offer, so if you’re going to wear heels, consider bringing some flats too so you don’t miss out. (Specially we recommend the use of flat shoes on Tuesday 27th for the whole day, including dinner. The place where the activities will be taking part it may have cobbled stone pavement and uneven surface).
Weather: the average temperature in Siena in February is likely to be 11°C, with highs of 9°C and lows of 4°C. Also, there is likely to be precipitation, so bare showers in mind when you pack.
We do advise that all delegates take their own necessities, which may include, insect repellent, medical supplies, etc.

Connections Experiences are intended to act as replacements for tabletop introductory meetings. Instead of sitting in a conventional one to one meeting, we encourage you to try an activity together for 10 – 15 minutes as an icebreaker and then return to your assigned table to discuss further business opportunities.
